Gift Guide
In short
A humidor is a gift that stays. The right choice is a model for 20 to 25 cigars with cedar lining, hygrometer, humidifier and cutter — and packaging you can hand over exactly as it arrives.
A humidor suits anyone who smokes cigars more than once a year — from the beginner who was given two boxes to the enthusiast who lacks a proper place on the desk. Someone who does not smoke cigars at all will appreciate a set with contents more than an empty box.
Do not give a cabinet humidor. A model for 20 to 25 cigars is the dependable choice: large enough to take a whole box, small enough to find a place in the living room — and it holds its climate better than a large, half-empty case.
A gift should be complete. Look for a hygrometer, a humidifier, a stainless steel cutter, a divider and a care cloth. If the cutter is missing, the recipient has to order one the same evening — and that takes the magic out of any gift.
By the packaging and the edges. A dedicated gift box that arrives protected inside a second shipping carton shows that giving was thought about. So do accessories that belong to the humidor rather than merely accompanying it — for instance through the same engraving on cutter and humidifier.
If you have the time, season the humidor before giving it. It is then ready at once instead of after a week. The seasoning guide explains how. Add a bottle of distilled water — it is the one ingredient nobody keeps at home.
The Tobacor Humidor Classic arrives in a black gift box with gold lettering, protected inside a second carton. Cutter and humidifier carry the engraved Tobacor logo, and the humidifier adds a gold-toned stainless steel lid. The set contains everything needed to start and costs €59.90 on Amazon.de.

For cigar smokers, yes — it is used for years and stays visible. What matters is that the set is complete: hygrometer, humidifier and cutter should be included so the recipient does not have to buy extras.
A humidor for 20 to 25 cigars. That size takes a whole box, fits anywhere and holds its climate more steadily than a larger, half-filled model.
If you have a few days, by all means — then it is usable straight away. It is not essential: seasoning takes three to seven days and is easy to do with the enclosed instructions.
