The digital goniometer: take a photo, tap three joint landmarks and read the joint angle — in neutral zero notation right away.
Using an iPhone? GonioCam for iPhone and iPad
GonioCam is also available for Android, with the same features and prices as the iPhone app. How the neutral zero method works, why every joint has its own zero point and how accurate a photo measurement is, is explained in detail on the app's main page — this page is about the Android version.
Measuring stays free. GonioCam Pro is available on Google Play in three ways: a one-time purchase for €19.99, a yearly subscription for €9.99 with the first month free, or a monthly subscription for €2.99 (prices in Germany; they may differ in other countries).
Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period unless canceled before it ends. Payment is charged to your Google Play account, and you can cancel any time in the Play Store under “Payments & subscriptions”. If you cancel the free month before it ends, you pay nothing. When a subscription ends, the patients, progress charts and PDF export you already have stay readable — only creating new entries is locked.
The app runs on Android 8.0 or later on phones and tablets; on a tablet, navigation sits in a sidebar. It is available in seven languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese. When a newer version is out, the app tells you; updates come through Google Play.
The app also includes a capture guide with the rules for accurate photos and a “Methodology & accuracy” screen covering the measurement method, published evidence and our own accuracy check against reference images.
GonioCam is a measurement and documentation tool (digital goniometer). Clinical judgment remains with the treating professional.
GonioCam is not an approved or certified medical device. The app does not provide diagnoses, does not give therapy or treatment recommendations, and does not evaluate measured values.
