BrockGym for Android Privacy Terms of Use Legal notice
These terms of use apply to the Android app BrockGym by Johann Brockstedt, Burkamp 1, 24220 Flintbek, Germany (“we”), and supplement the privacy policy. For downloading via Google Play and for in-app purchases, the Google Play Terms of Service apply in addition. There are no separate general terms and conditions beyond these. This is a translation; the German version is legally binding.
BrockGym is a training log for strength training and endurance: plan creation, set logging, weight suggestions and progress analysis. The app imports endurance sessions, heart rate and other values from Health Connect if you allow it. The basic features (creating a plan, logging workouts, logging weight) are free of charge permanently. BrockGym Pro unlocks additional analyses and recommendations, including the progress overview and multiple training locations; the app shows which features are included at the relevant place.
BrockGym Pro is available as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-time purchase (“Forever”). Prices, terms and any free trial period are shown in the app and by Google Play before the purchase. The monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same term until you cancel. Sale, payment and billing are handled via Google Play and your Google account.
You can cancel at any time in the Play Store app under profile icon → “Payments & subscriptions” → “Subscriptions”, or in BrockGym via “Manage subscription”. To prevent the subscription from renewing again, cancel before the end of the current period; Pro remains active until the end of the paid period. If a free trial period ends without cancellation, the paid subscription begins. The one-time purchase does not renew. On another device with the same Google account, you can restore purchases via “Restore purchases”.
Purchases are processed exclusively via Google Play. Withdrawal and refunds are governed by the terms and refund policies of Google Play; you submit requests directly to Google. We have no access to payments and cannot issue refunds ourselves.
BrockGym stores your training data on your device. There is no server on which we keep it, and no user account with us. Before changing devices or uninstalling, you can export it as a CSV file. Details are given in the privacy policy.
BrockGym gives training suggestions, not medical, physiotherapeutic or nutritional-medical advice, and is not a medical device. The app only displays values from Health Connect; it does not evaluate them medically and does not make a diagnosis. In case of pain, pre-existing conditions or after an injury, the question belongs with a doctor, not in an app. Strength training involves a risk of injury: check every suggested weight yourself, stay within the limits of your equipment and, if in doubt, train under qualified guidance.
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health. In the case of slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Claims under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remain unaffected.
If the scope of features or prices change significantly, we will inform you in the app before the next renewal of your subscription. These terms of use may be adjusted as required; the version published at the time of use is authoritative.
